Objectives
Implement the politics established by national regulations, through the oversight and monitoring of the delegated authority by the Administration to the Recognized Organizations and Recognized Security Organizations, in order to guarantee the compliance with the national legislation as well as the International Maritime Organization prescriptions as a Flag State.
Those Functions Include The Following

Review and provide the necessary requirement, on technical matter, for the authorization, oversight and monitoring applicable to the Recognized Organizations and Recognized Security Organizations.

Review the technical aspects of each request of those Recognized Organization and Recognized Security Organization that seek authorization to issue statutory certificates and provide regulatory services to Panama flag vessels on behalf of the Republic of Panama.

Manage the reports related to the authorization granted by the Administration to the Recognized Organizations and Recognized Security Organizations and those required in accordance with the obligations as a Flag State.

Provide the instructions needed to be follow by the Recognized Organization and Recognized Security Organization in regards to the authorization granted in accordance with the national legislation.
